High Cotton Cattle Co.

Registered British White cattle and grass-fed, grass-finished beef from 4L Ranch in Lincoln County, Tennessee.

Rooted in Tennessee

The Hendrickson family have been cowboys for six generations, settling in Tennessee more than six decades ago. Our heritage is etched into how we live every day, and how we raise our registered British White cattle with a steadfast commitment to land stewardship. We believe in the integrity of clean, grass-fed and finished beef—a tradition we honor through slow-growth practices and a deep respect for our animals.

British White Cattle

As members of the British White Cattle Association of America, we take immense pride in our registered British White cattle, a heritage breed known for their gentleness and superior beef quality. Our commitment to sustainable land stewardship means every animal is raised entirely on the lush pastures along the Elk River. By following natural, grass-fed practices, and low stress handling, we ensure a life of dignity for our livestock and a cleaner, more nutritious product for your table.

More about the Breed

The American British White cow is of moderate size, 1000 to 1500 pounds. Bulls are from 1800 to 2300 pounds. They are smooth polled although an occasional "scur" is observed. Both bulls and cows are very docile in nature. The cow udders are well set and tight with small black teats. Back lines are straight and strong with a slight slope to the tail head. The bull's scrotums are well shaped and large in size, a 38-42cm circumference in yearling bulls is normal.

Ranch Stories

Join the 4L Story

When starting the herd more than a decade ago, there was no intention other than to simply provide high quality clean beef for our family and friends. After years of suffering through medical issues, Rocky realized the importance of not only what we eat, but how what we eat is treated.

In pursuit of that mission, he chose British White cattle for their docile nature, easy calving, and high quality beef production.

As Connor fulfilled his career goals in the golf industry, the longing that all Hendrickson's possess filled him... A desire to spend his life in service to his community directly through the land. Through his own health battles, he has matured into a leadership role in the operation and works closely with both of his parents to further the legacy they have set for him.
